- What areas do you cover?
- We're based in Edinburg and work throughout the Rio Grande Valley — Hidalgo, Cameron, Starr and Willacy counties. McAllen, Mission, Pharr, Weslaco, Harlingen and Brownsville are all regular runs. Send the project address and we'll confirm availability.
- Do you charge more for jobs further from Edinburg?
- Travel is one of the things we factor in, along with scope, access and equipment. We don't publish a mileage rate — send the address with your request and the quote you get back accounts for it.
- How do I get a quote for excavation work?
- Use the quote form. It asks what kind of work you need, then a handful of questions specific to that job — dimensions, access, materials — and lets you attach photos. It takes a couple of minutes on a phone.
- Can you quote from photos?
- Often, yes. Clear photos of the whole area plus a couple of close-ups, along with rough dimensions, tell us a lot. Bigger jobs like acreage clearing and ponds usually need a walk-through.
- How much does land clearing or demolition cost?
- It depends on size, material, access and haul-off. We don't publish prices because a number that doesn't fit your site isn't worth anything. Send the details and you'll get a real figure.
- How soon can you start?
- PLACEHOLDER — depends on the current schedule. Confirm before publishing.
- Do I need to be on site while you work?
- Not usually, as long as we've agreed the scope and marked what stays. For the first walk-through it helps if you're there.
- Who is responsible for locating buried utility lines?
- Buried lines have to be located and marked before anyone digs. Tell us where that stands in your quote request and we'll make sure it's handled before we break ground.
- Who disconnects the utilities before a demolition?
- Disconnection is arranged with the utility providers. We'll walk you through what has to be done and confirm it's finished before demolition starts.
- What should I do before you arrive?
- Clear vehicles and equipment out of the work area, mark anything that must stay — trees, septic, wells, irrigation — and let us know about gates, locks and soft ground.
- How much fill dirt do I need?
- Length x width x depth, converted to cubic yards. Our materials page has a calculator that does it for you. Treat the answer as a planning estimate and send it to us to check.
- What's the difference between fill dirt and select fill?
- Fill dirt brings ground up. Select fill is chosen for how well it compacts, which is what you want under a slab or building pad.
- Can I hire just the trucks?
- Yes. Contractors regularly hire our dump trucks and belly dumps on their own, without any dirt work attached.
- Do you work for builders and contractors?
- Yes — trucks, machines and operators to back up a crew. See the contractor page for how that works.
- Do you work on residential properties?
- Yes. Homeowner and landowner work is a big part of what we do — driveways, drainage, pads, clearing and concrete removal.
- What happens to the debris and spoil?
- Hauled off, stockpiled or spread on site — whichever you prefer. Say so in your quote request so it's priced in.
- How is the site left when you finish?
- Cleared and graded to whatever we agreed for the job. If a follow-on trade is coming behind us, tell us and we'll leave it ready for them.
